What are the increased player rates being used for?

Fees increased for two reasons based on feedback from our club survey. Reason 1 is that parents wanted additional focus on more development programming for our players. We have introduced our new Technical Director, Adam Lapidus, and weekly School of Skills session for all age groups. We have also expanded our goalkeeper training to allow for more players to be involved and have a renewed focus on coach education using our on-field leadership team. Reason 2 is that parents wanted one consistent location for training for all of our teams. The fields we previously used through Kirkwood were less expensive but were not reliable. By moving to Meramec Levee Recreation Park we are able to host all of our teams, even with 30%+ growth as a club since last year. The Principia fields were not available to utilize as they expanded their own sports programming.

Was any money lost by the club in the facility development that is no longer being built?

No. The opportunity for this opportunity was brought to us by an outside group. We had made an agreement to rent their fields at a preferred rate as the main tenant of the facility. No club money was used for any of the development of the facility.
